I can remember when humor didn’t depend on jokes regarding sex or
bodily functions. But I don’t like going to comedy clubs anymore, because I’m
already wincing before I even go in.
Since TV shows, movies, and live comedy shows flagged for Mature
Audiences actually seem to pander to the people at the intellectual level of
adolescent boys, maybe we should revamp the system.
Shows featuring vulgarity and scatological references could be
flagged G for Gross
Shows that are humorous but not gross could be rated M: Mature
Audiences Only.
