If the characters in "Scorpion" are such geniuses,
why do they use such bad grammar?

I read the papers. I look around. I see things that are either annoying or goofy. I write about them. My sister suggested that I start a blog. (Thanks for liking my stuff, Julia.) So, in no particular order, here are my thoughts.

They're not geniuses when it comes to basics. They can't be bothered. My guess is that technically, they are not truly geniuses. They are subject area geniuses.
They are subject area geniuses, not overall, well-rounded geniuses.
Plus, they're only actors working with scriptwriters who use bad grammar.
I do get tired of them using their high IQs as a reason to be rude to everybody. Maybe some Mensa members could give the scriptwriters some pointers.
