In “Don’t Churches Have Faith?” (April 2, 2018) I said that
churches should demonstrate their faith by paying their workers a decent wage,
and mentioned that televangelists seem to have that aspect covered.
Obligingly proving my point is Jesse Duplantis, of Jesse Duplantis
Ministries, who is asking his faithful followers to chip in $54 million so
Jesse can have his own private jet—in addition to the 3 private jets he already
has.
And I’ll bet he’ll get the money, too. Lutheran pastors, maybe
you should be taking notes.
