While I was watching “Fast X”, the thought uppermost in my mind (besides “This is loud and confusing”) was,
“Man, I miss the dollar theater.”
I read the papers. I look around. I see things that are either annoying or goofy. I write about them. My sister suggested that I start a blog. (Thanks for liking my stuff, Julia.) So, in no particular order, here are my thoughts.

Although the series got off to a shaky start, the season’s last episode of “Not Dead Yet” got an A+ rating from me. Exquisite.
“Guardians of the Galaxy 3” was a very good movie (unlike GOTG 2). It was too dark for younger viewers, in my opinion, but as a movie for grown-ups, it hummed along nicely.

The ERA failed again. In 2024. The year after the Missouri legislature passed a law saying that women in the legislature can’t wear sleeveless shirts or dresses, and even debated whether a cardigan was considered “professional attire.”
You know how you read about bills that are so packed with pork and obscure amendments that nobody reads them—and you suddenly find that Congress has voted to make Daylight Saving Time year-round and didn’t even realize it?
Well, folks, let’s put those amendments to good use.
Every bill from now on should include a special amendment, to wit:
No insurance company would be allowed to pay for Viagra.
