Have you bought or test-driven a new car lately? Have you tried figuring out all the controls?

 

It’s tough to read the manual and practice on the dashboard when it’s cold out; and it’s not generally feasible to drive the car into the house so you can practice in the warmth. 

 

So, I propose that new cars come with a mock dashboard that can be taken into the house, where you can practice using all the fancy gadgets—the GPS, the sound system and Bluetooth, the heater, etc. in comfort, and not while you’re driving.

 

When you’re done, your toddlers can use it to pretend to drive.

 

I’d honestly love to see that.
