Can You Say, "Constitution"?

February 10, 2025

I thought that part of the test for immigrants was knowing about the three branches of government. Elon Musk must have failed that part. For that matter, Vice President J. D. Vance, born and raised in the U.S., must have failed his high school Government test as well.

Both men are asking why the judicial branch gets to have any say about what the president does.

Answer: To prevent the president from making unilateral decisions that are not in the country’s best interests.

You can’t blame Musk and Vance, though. The legislative branch has fallen down on its job of being a collective watchdog as well. Maybe Musk and Vance just forgot how things are supposed to work—just like Congress did.
