On September 23, I speculated that Bob Onder’s opening move of asking for $1.5 billion in tax credits was just a way to whittle it down to something still unreasonable but more palatable to the town council.
But no: With the comparatively paltry $7.5 million he offered to donate to a non-profit, the council said, “Sure. You can have all the tax credits you want.”
He didn’t even need to play games.
