I read the papers. I look around. I see things that are either annoying or goofy. I write about them. My sister suggested that I start a blog. (Thanks for liking my stuff, Julia.) So, in no particular order, here are my thoughts.

Once again, the Missouri Senate has voted to end child marriage.
Now it’s again up to the House to give the bill a hearing and vote for it. Let’s hope that they can start catching up to the realities of child trafficking and stop this old-time practice.
Maybe someday they’ll be enlightened enough to catch up to the 21st Century.

Another St. Louis archbishop covered up abuse by priests when he was posted elsewhere. So that makes 2 in a row for us.* Is St. Louis designated as the place the Catholic Church sends abuse-enabling former bishops,
or are there so many that we’re bound to end up with one no matter what?
