June 30—I got on the internet today, and was startled to see a headline, “Prayers Pouring in for 3 States in the Midwest”. Wondering what disaster had struck, I sneaked a peek and discovered that a storm was forecast for yesterday. Later, I saw, “Prayers Pouring in for Florida.” Another storm forecast.
“Who’s doing all this praying?” I wondered. “Where are the prayers pouring in to?” (The articles didn’t specify.)
It wasn’t until I saw the one about prayers pouring in for Idaho, where a sniper shot at firefighters, that I realized that the praying people are writing into the website The Spun, and search engines are posting the articles.
I wonder if we’ll be seeing lots more of these headlines. Has The Spun suddenly started popping up on newsfeeds, or have I just not noticed them? Will the headlines encourage other people to start praying?
