State transportation officials in Missouri want to eliminate the population figures on the signs that welcome people to towns. They are afraid that drivers will get distracted while trying to read the numbers.
I don’t think they have to worry. Thanks to Missouri’s lax driving laws, drivers might be too busy texting or having videoconferences to even notice the signs.
