If members of Congress are interested in getting the Latino vote next term, they should work as they can to get Kilmar Abrego Garcia returned from El Salvador. He's the Maryland man who was deported in error because he was a suspected gang member.
It also wouldn't hurt to speak out against the sweeps, which are bound to bring harassment to American citizens, based on the sloppy identification techniques.
The contest is up for grabs, and this issue is a no-brainer.

Looks like I made a racist assumption. I assumed that Latino citizens of the U.S. would be swayed in their political preferences by the sweeps of Latino people for purposes of deportation.
According to some news reports, a major political concern for some Latinos is the increase in prices, just like it is for everybody else. My apologies for assuming. (And I mean it, I’m not being snarky.)
