Now that smoke from wildfires in Canada is affecting people in the eastern states and DC, suddenly there’s a big to-do about the effects of the smoke on breathing and quality of life. Major stories appear in the media, and people are stepping up their efforts to fight climate change’s effects on wildfires.

 

It’s a lot different from the passing mentions that appeared all those years that the western states were the only ones putting up with it.
