It's a Dirty Job, but...

A while ago, I suggested that maybe the way to get President Trump to do the right thing by the country was for people to hold a demonstration and chant (as an example), “Environmentalists for Trump”, or whatever the cause was. He seems to be motivated by feeling the love.

 

After the recent Cabinet meeting, it looks like the editorial board of the Post-Dispatch has come to the same conclusion: The way to get Trump’s cooperation is through blatant flattery.

 

So, let’s start holding our noses and chanting.

 

 

Bailing Out Missouri?

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, he of the numerous grandstanding lawsuits, debunker of science, and no friend to the common man, has been named Co-Director of the FBI by President Trump. (I didn’t think of it while I was drafting this, but they have a lot in common.)

 

As loath as I am to see Andrew Bailey in any position of authority, let alone one that is responsible for public safety and even-handedness with the law,

 

It may save Missouri taxpayers a ton of money in frivolous lawsuits if he’s out of state office.
