I saw the movie “Twisters” the other night. I had been looking forward to it, but, frankly, I was a little bored.
I was glad that it wasn’t all just scenes of tornadoes, but they didn’t make the other storylines very compelling, so it was kind of a slog in parts. There was past trauma, current questionable business practices, and a would-be love triangle, but they never really got crisply enough written to keep you interested.
Also, the tough-guy chaser reminded me of Alex O’Loughlin—was he chosen on purpose for that?—but he didn’t have sharp enough edges to make it work.
But there were some good twisters.
