On November 21, 1980, approximately 83 million people tuned in to see who shot JR on “Dallas.”
Today, thanks to the history blurb in the paper, I finally found out, too.
I read the papers. I look around. I see things that are either annoying or goofy. I write about them. My sister suggested that I start a blog. (Thanks for liking my stuff, Julia.) So, in no particular order, here are my thoughts.

As
always, I’m behind on the trends. I heard on the radio today that responding “LOL”
or using the thumbs-up emoji are passé. When I looked up the emoji issue, I found
an article about it that was written 2022. So, I am seriously behind!
For me, emojis were cutting edge; and now they’re labeling me as older than dirt.
I think I’m finally too old to evolve.

My sister was reading an article on treating Seasonal Affective Disorder with blue light.
She’s also read that blue light from phones can keep people awake at night.
So, she said, maybe if parents took the phones from their teens at night so they’d go to sleep earlier, then waved them at the kids in order to wake them up in the morning, they’d get out of bed on time for school, and stay awake during the day.
Sounds like a solid plan to me.
