A friend and I were discussing sightseeing trips we’d taken
on our own. As I leaned over to pick something up she said, “You’re so bold!”
But before I could actually feel good about that, she continued, “You’re
letting your hair go gray naturally.”
Aaand just like that—the moment was gone.
