woman called police in another town to check on her 80-year-old mother. When police
arrived, they found that she had been held hostage for over 20 hours by an armed
intruder, who had locked her in her basement.
The reason
they were called? The daughter got worried when her mother didn’t send a daily
text announcing her score for the game Wordle.
