You're Never Too Old to Learn

I was a bit taken aback to see the following headline from AARP:

 

Are you eligible for student loan forgiveness?

 

“Now that is a long-lasting student loan,” I thought. But the article says that 20% of student loan debt is held by people who are 50+. Apparently, some people still have the get-up-and-go (or the necessity) to further their education or training after age 50.*

 

More power to them.

 

*My mother went to college for a Master’s degree when she was in her 60’s, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.
