On a scale of 1 to Really Ironic, two articles in yesterday’s paper are vying for top position.
1. A man was shot in a road rage incident. As it transpired, he wasn’t shot by someone in another car; he and the driver of his car were shooting at someone in another car, and the driver of his car shot him by accident. It would have been funny, in a late-night-comedy-show kind of way, if the man hadn’t died.
2. Rapper Ye, who has made antisemitic remarks on more than one occasion, issued an apology in Hebrew. Not everyone was wowed by the gesture. In fact, the American Jewish Committee said that issuing the apology in Hebrew, without a translation, made it inaccessible to most American Jews, who do not speak Hebrew.
