They Probably Should Have Canceled the Card

A woman was recently sentenced to almost 4 years in prison after she embezzled almost $140,000 from her employer in less than 6 months. Here’s the interesting part:

 

Much of the fraud was perpetrated using the company’s credit card. After the fraud was discovered and she was indicted, she used the credit card to buy a one-way ticket to Scotland, to be with her fiancé and avoid prosecution.

 

Her employers were apparently very trusting sorts.
