You can’t stargaze anymore in my
neighborhood because all my neighbors have their super-bright porch lights on,
in addition to the streetlights. I thought it was to deter burglars, but no:
They leave them on during the evening, when I would like to be stargazing; and
then turn them off when they go to bed.
At least they can rest assured
that no burglars will come between the hours of 7 and 11 p.m.
