As much as it pains me to agree with all those Republican, Yale-educated
candidates who call Democrats “elitist” (go figure), they may have a point.
I saw a post pointing out that, in this time of high gas prices (naturally being blamed on the president), every single House Republican voted against a bill that would fight gas-price gouging.
Someone asked why the Democrats weren’t making hay with
that, by taking out ads and putting up billboards. It’s a legitimate question.
It’s like the Democrats don’t want to appeal to the masses; they’d
rather write scholarly, well-reasoned columns that nobody reads than score points with the riffraff (a/k/a VOTERS).
Sounds pretty elitist to me.
