The Republican answer to school shootings is, “Arm the teachers.”
As I went to the movies today, I wondered if we should also arm theater workers, mall workers, and…well, everybody, really. Why are only teachers responsible for taking on gunmen?
And why don’t legislatures allow guns in their sacred halls? (Hint: They don’t want to get shot by gun-toting constituents—or, as they like to call them, “patriots”.)
