I saw a news story this morning talking about rising prices for essentials.
The reporter mentioned toilet paper and food; the camera focused on chocolate chips.
I read the papers. I look around. I see things that are either annoying or goofy. I write about them. My sister suggested that I start a blog. (Thanks for liking my stuff, Julia.) So, in no particular order, here are my thoughts.

When I read about Dynamic Pricing giving Springsteen fans sticker shock, I could sympathize. I saw The Boss in the ’80’s; and while I enjoyed it, I sure wouldn’t shell out Ticketmaster prices these days. I sure wouldn’t pay thousands of dollars for the privilege.
Besides, that was 40 years ago. How well can he actually sing now?
(I know, I know: If I had any soul, I wouldn’t even ask such a question.)

The police in Uvalde waited for someone to take charge. Staffers at the White House and family members of Donald Trump waited for hours for him to call off the rioters (Couldn’t Ivanka have gone out and delivered a message to the crowd?); or call in the National Guard.
While they were waiting, people were being wounded or killed.
Godot never came, folks. Maybe we should plan for that.
Maybe we need a backup plan as to who will take charge in the case of indecisive or uncooperative leaders.
