Take the Shortcut

I read a recipe for quick energy bars in the paper. I don’t know if “quick” referred to making the recipe or to getting the zap of energy. The recipe called for chocolate chips, peanut butter, and oatmeal.

 

If you really want quick energy, just eat the chocolate chips. The other ingredients may be better for your blood sugar, and keep you from getting hungry; but if you just want energy, a few chocolate chips work wonders.

 

Also, since all 3 of those ingredients can cause bloating, cutting out the oatmeal and peanut butter may save you a bit of grief down the line.
