The Idaho Statesman
has a spotty record of printing my letters; and you’re only allowed one per month
anyway. So just in case this one doesn’t make it, I’m printing it here.
So much to say, so few letters allowed:
1. I enjoyed Ed Lotterman's March 20 column on why it makes
NO economic sense for municipalities to fund stadiums for sports owners. I only
wish it had been in print and not online-only.
2. Anyone who honestly can't tell the difference between a
woman's voluntarily receiving an abdominal ultrasound ("Does this feel
invasive?" she chirps) and a woman being forced to receive an invasive
ultrasound shouldn't be running around loose.
3. Parents who take your children to Kathryn Albertson Park:
Please don't let your children race their scooters, or chase the geese, or
encourage them to "Find a duck egg!" It's a nesting habitat. They can
run and whoop it up across the street at Ann Morrison Park. You may not believe
it, but those signs encouraging you to respect the wildlife really are talking
to you—not just to everybody else.

So many good points, so many papers to fill out to get a megaphone and say them to folks as they occur! : )
