Well, well, well. After yelling about
incompetent leadership during the pandemic, and pushing guidelines about social
distancing and masking and not traveling for the holidays,
Three high-profile government leaders decided that the rules didn’t apply to them.
- The governor of California attended a birthday party/fundraiser in November.
- The governor of New York was going to have Thanksgiving dinner with his mother and daughters, who were going to fly in for the occasion. Public outcry changed his mind.
- The mayor of Denver “deeply regrets” traveling for Thanksgiving, after urging others to stay home.
Why do you suppose that people
don’t think that their elected leaders really have a clue as to how the
pandemic is affecting them?
Why do you suppose that people think
their elected leaders look down on them as lesser beings?
Why do you suppose that people
don’t really trust their elected leaders?
Well?
