Ya gotta hand it to Stan Kroenke. He’s always looking out for Number 1—and getting creative about it.
Several years ago, he moved the St. Louis Rams to California, after scamming St. Louis into spending lots of money to keep the team here.
St. Louis just won a lawsuit recouping the money; now the NFL is making all the team owners pony up, instead of just Stan Kroenke.
The other owners are crying foul, because Kroenke signed an indemnity agreement saying he’d bear the cost of any settlement.
But here’s the kicker: Kroenke says that since other teams told St. Louis how many rules Stan was breaking in order to move the Rams, it’s their fault he lost the lawsuit; so, he shouldn’t have to pay the whole tab.
I cannot WAIT to see how this plays out.
