Governor Parson called a special session of the legislature to
try to push through a tax rebate that will be detrimental to the state's finances; but he can’t make
time in the session to discuss or pass legislation mandating oversight for
religious schools, which use the church/state clause to avoid oversight, and
end up with terrible cases of abuse.
But what do kids matter when you’re trying to keep your party in power?
Actually, a member of his own party is pushing for legislation to make religious schools subject to oversight. But Parson can't be bothered. He'll make everything right with tax cuts.
