I was watching “A Hard Day’s Night”, and one scene deals with the current teenage Trendsetter, a girl who’s on TV being shown as the latest fashion icon. I don’t know if that was a real thing, or just a spoof (the movie itself being a spoof).
Of course, in the 1960’s, TV and radio were the media available, so their reach was limited by today’s standards; but the girl in the scene sure looked like an Influencer to me.
