Someone I know was trying to get a marriage license in St. Louis. She had scheduled time off work to go downtown and fill out the paperwork, but then she found out that the paperwork had to be completed online. She and her fiancé had to scan their drivers’ licenses and email them along with the paperwork.
THEN they had to go downtown to get the actual license.
I guess it’s the state’s way of making sure that you really, really want to get married.
