No Need for Poetic License

August 3, 2023

When you’re reading a biography or a history book, have you ever wondered what REALLY went on in a person’s head? How much of what you’re reading is the author or historian filling in gaps with his or her belief or interpretation, since the people involved are no longer available to question?

Well, wonder no more. Between government surveillance and your friendly neighborhood hackers, every person’s innermost thoughts will be available to anyone before long. Historians will never again have to suppose, or surmise, or imagine what went on; they’ll just have to look at the cache of people’s emails and journals. What a relief!
